The Aspiring Medic’s Support Team
The Aspiring Medic’s Support (TAMS) Team is a community of medical students and doctors from a variety of cultural and educational backgrounds, united by a common vision to effect change at a national scale.
Jacob Oguntimehin
Jacob is the Founder and Director of The Aspiring Medic's Support as well as a final year medical student at Keele University. He is a firm believer in the importance of advocating for the increased support of students from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds and has dedicated much of his undergraduate career to this cause. He has often been described as a 'Polymath' as he enjoys exploring a number of other fields outside of medicine, such as economics and videography.
NATHAN ANORSON
Nathan is TAMS’ Associate Director and is currently a fourth-year medical student at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. He has been with TAMS since the very beginning, particularly responsible for overseeing the Trained by TAMS mentoring programme. An interesting fact about him is that he doesn't have two full eyebrows.
Omolade dada
Omolade is the Director of the Audience Engagement Stream and is a second-year medical student at Nottingham University Medical School. In her spare time, she particularly enjoys braiding hair.
Natalia Dul
Natalia is the Associate Director of the Audience Engagement Stream and is currently a first-year medical student at King’s College London. She loves implementing creative projects to support aspiring medics and is a former competitive swimmer!
Jasmin Johnson
Jasmin is an Audience Engagement officer and is currently a second-year medical student at Cardiff University. She is a keen artist and enjoys painting in her spare time.
Fatima Nadeem
Fatima is the co-Director of the Outreach Stream and is currently intercalating in Sports Medicine at the Queen Mary University of London before she returns to studying medicine at Manchester medical school. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting and cooking!
Dr Yamen Jabr
Yamen is the co-Director of the Outreach Stream and is currently a clinical teaching fellow and an HLA Scholar. He is passionate about plastic surgery, medical technologies, and improving educational opportunities.
Zakee Abdi
Zakee is an Outreach Officer and a medical student in Malta. He is passionate about helping students achieve career aspirations as well as the future applications of Artificial Intelligence in medicine.
Sheema Chaudhry
Sheema is an Outreach Officer and a fourth-year medical student at Nottingham University. She loves working to widen participation and enjoys playing sports in her spare time, particular figure skating.
Habibur Rahman
Habib is the Director of the Public Relations Stream and is a first-year medical student in King’s College London. He enjoys playing video games in his spare time and is a former competitive Call of Duty player!
Lydia Yosief
Lydia is the Associate Director of the Public Relations Stream and is a fourth-year medical student at King’s College London. She enjoys playing sports in her spare time and is a former competitive trampoliner.
Kareem Selman-Jackson
Kareem is the Director of the TAMS Network and is currently a third-year medical student at King’s College London. He is a keen athlete, regularly enjoying spriting in his spare time. He also holds a university record for his sprinting time!
Caleb Owomoyela
Caleb is the Associate Director of the TAMS Network and is currently a final year medical student at the University of Exeter. He loves mentoring students to reach their full potential and interestingly, he has six middle names!
Faiza Ali
Faiza is a TAMS Network Officer and is currently intercalting at King’s College London in Imaging Sciences. She is passionate about supporting medical students in their personal and professional development and can also solve a rubix cube!
Emmanuel Onyango
Emmanuel is the co-Director of the Mentoring Stream and is currently a fourth-year medical student at Cardiff University. He is passionate about mentoring aspiring medics and was able to acquire a brown belt in karate before the age of 11!
Will Owen
Will is a co-Director of the Mentoring Stream and is currently a fourth-year medical student at Manchester University. He is passionate about supporting the next generation of doctors and also owns a tortoise.
Henschel Freduah-Agyemang
Henschel is the Assistant Diretor of the Mentoring Stream and is currently a first-year medical student at the University of Leeds. He loves mentoring and also a keen reader, particularly enjoying period dramas.
